Founded in UK in 1973, RM
plc is a pioneer in the application of technology to
education. Today, RM is the leading supplier of IT software,
services and systems to the education market in the
UK with a turnover in excess of $300 million. In recent
years RM has expanded its range of products and services
to include interactive whole-class teaching
services, teacher training, ICT-based needs assessment
and school management information systems.
RM employs more than 1,400 staff, most of them based
at the headquarters at Milton Park in Oxfordshire. The

3T Productions Limited and Softease in
Manchester, an educational softwarepublisher.
In India, RM opened its first off-shore
development centre – RM Education Solutions India
Pvt. Ltd. (RM ESI) at Technopark, Trivandrum in February
2003. With an initial investment of Rs.30 million,
the company has ambitious growth plans in India. Operations
began in June 2003 and the team has grown to about 150
employees who include software developers, technical
writers and support staff. RM ESI supports RM PLC, UK,
in providing leading edge software solutions for a wide
range of futuristic education related products and services
targeted at schools in the UK, North America and Australia.
RM ESI is now ranked among the top IT
exporters from the State of Kerala during 2003-04. The
revenue generated in 2003 – 2004 (7 months of
operation) was Rs 5.2 Crores, and the projected revenue
for 2004-2005 is Rs 15 Crores.RM ESI,
has been certified against ISO 9001:2000 standards for
its India operations .Encouraged by the early successes,
the team strength is rapidly growing and expected to
touch nearly 300 professionals by mid-2005. The expansive
state-of-the-art facility with a 2 MB IPLC link to the
UK, high end machines on every desktop, an advanced
