THE FOREIGN CREWS/TOURISTS WHILE ARRIVING AT SEAPORT KOCHI

The Office of Kochi seaport Registration Officer (Immigration
Office) has a Dy.Supdt of police at its head. Twentyfour
hours service is available here. Foreigners arrive at
Kochi seaport by vessel and yacht as crew/tourist. The
crew on board a vessel does not require a passport,
they can travel by their CDCs. Temporary landing permit
for a period of 72 hours will be issued to them during
their stay at Kochi seaport at free of cost. Temporary
landing permit facility upto 72 hours will be granted
by immigration Authorities, to foreigners without visa
who are transiting through India and have confirmed
ticket for onward journey by charging a fee of Indian
rupees equivalent to US $30, in case a foreigner signed
off from vessel.

Foreign tourists in group of Four or more arriving
by sea sponsored by a recognised Indian travel agency
and with a pre-down itinerary will be granted collective
landing permit for a specified period of time which
does not exceed 15 days. On the written request of the
travel agencies to the immigration Officer, giving full
personal and passport details of the group members,
the itinerary and undertaking to conduct the group as
per the itinerary and assurance, no individuals would
be allowed to drop out from the group at any place.
Temporary landing permit fee is also charged as mentioned
above.
